About Eden

Eden began acting at age 7, when she and her brother (Sam Riegel) auditioned for a touring company of Les Misérables. Plucked from hundreds of kids at a giant open call in their hometown of Washington D.C., Sam and Eden were invited to join the national tour as Young Cosette and Little Gavroche. Following the tour, Eden joined the Broadway cast in New York City, and became a working kid actor. Eden continued to work On- and Off-Broadway, in television and film, and as a voice over and recording artist, and jingle singer, until she went to college.

Eden began her undergraduate degree at Harvard University, and toured Asia with her college a capella group, the Radcliffe Pitches, as a second soprano. She also flirted with a career in politics, interning at the White House under the Clinton administration.  

But entertainment continued to call her, and she accepted an opportunity to join the cast of ABC's All My Children as soap legend Susan Lucci's character Erica Kane's lesbian daughter. It was the first time a TV Soap Opera featured the coming-out story of a major character. The storyline was considered ground-breaking for its time, and was met with critical and audience acclaim. The storyline garnered Eden a GLAAD "Out Image of the Year" award, a Daytime Emmy Award, and several Emmy nominations. On All My Children Eden was also able to participate in many firsts: the first on-screen same-gender kiss, the first transgender storyline, and the first same-sex wedding on Daytime TV. 

After All My Children, Eden moved to LA and continued working in television and film. Roles have included a stint on The Young and the Restless, guest roles on Showtime's The Affair, Netflix's One Day and a Time, NBC's A.P. Bio, Disney's Sydney to the Max, CBS's Criminal Minds, Hawaii Five-0, NCIS, and NCIS LA, and ABC's Castle, among others. She is featured in Apple TV Plus's upcoming anthology series, Amazing Stories. In film, Eden can be seen in the original American Pie movie, in Harold Ramis's last film, Year One, and in Andrew Dominik's upcoming Netflix film about the life of Marilyn Monroe, Blonde.

Eden also continues to be a prolific Voice Over artist, voicing roles in Disney's The Lion Guard, Amphibia, and The Owl House, among others. She also has roles in several top video games, including cultural-phenomenon Fortnite, Saint's Row, Monster Hunter, Final Fantasy, Dead or Alive, Resident Evil, Persona, and many more. She is the Voice Director for Amphibia and The Owl House, as well as several other TV animation series currently in production.
